Terms of service

1. What Signal Trader is

Signal Trader ("the platform", "we") operates a marketplace that connects independent trading-signal providers ("providers") with people who choose to follow their signals ("subscribers"), together with self-hosted execution software (the "Signal Trader app") that a subscriber may run to execute subscribed signals in the subscriber's own brokerage account. Signal Trader is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, commodity trading advisor, or fund. We never hold your money, and we do not make trading decisions for you: which signals to follow, at what size, and whether execution runs at all are choices you make and can change at any time. By creating an account or using the site or app you agree to these terms.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly complete verification steps (such as one-time codes) when asked. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or present a security risk.

3. Signals and subscriptions

Providers set their own signal prices; the platform does not set, anchor, or negotiate them. Each signal's price is displayed before you subscribe. Subscriptions continue until you cancel; you may cancel at any time from your account page, which stops delivery of that signal to your execution app. Signals become eligible for listing only after the platform's minimum forward-test period (currently 60 days) has elapsed; listing is mechanical and time-based and is not an endorsement, review, or recommendation.

4. The execution app

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to run the Signal Trader app to execute your subscribed signals in brokerage accounts you own or control. You supply and safeguard your own broker credentials; they are used by the app on your machine and are never transmitted to the platform. You are responsible for the app's configuration — including position sizing and enabling or disabling execution — and for complying with your broker's terms. The app is provided "as is"; see sections 7 and 8.

5. Execution data and public performance records

Signal performance shown on the marketplace is built from the platform's own records. When you subscribe to a signal you consent to your execution data for that signal (such as fill prices and timing) being used in anonymized, aggregated, normalized form in the signal's public performance record. Your identity, account details, and account balances are never published. Where no subscriber executions exist for a period, the platform displays clearly-labeled simulated data instead; the risk disclosure explains how blended records are presented.

6. Providers

Providers retain ownership of their signals and grant the platform a license to deliver them to that provider's subscribers and to publish the resulting performance records. Providers set prices at their sole discretion and owe the platform a commission on platform-facilitated sales as set out in their provider agreement. Providers must not publish signals that are unlawful, fraudulent, or manipulative, must not misrepresent their track record, and must hold any rights needed to publish their signals. We do not curate, rank, or endorse listings, but we may remove listings or accounts engaged in unlawful or fraudulent conduct.

7. Disclaimers

Trading involves substantial risk of loss. Nothing on the platform is investment advice, and Signal Trader does not endorse any signal or warrant the use of any signal for trading financial instruments, or for any purpose whatsoever — use at your own risk. The service and app are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-interruption. The risk disclosure is part of these terms.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Signal Trader and its operators are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the service or the app — including losses caused by signal content, delivery delays or failures, execution errors, downtime, or your broker's conduct. Our aggregate liability for all claims in any twelve-month period is limited to the amounts you paid the platform in that period.

9. Changes and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may modify these terms; if we do, we will update the date above, and material changes will be notified on the site or by email. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
